In the Basic Search<\/strong><\/a> section, users can enter a character string to locate it within the corpus. Humtext\u2019s search system allows users to explore the content of the transcriptions through three main search modes:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Exact match<\/em>. The search is carried out by considering the text exactly as written, respecting both the order and the form of the words.
    \nExample: If the phrase \"tres mil pesetas\" is entered, a valid result would be: \u201cEl piso que se alquila renta tres mil pesetas.\u201d<\/li>\n
  2. All words in any order<\/em>. In this type of search, results are retrieved if they contain all the specified words, even if they appear in a different order or are not adjacent. Example: If the search is for \"hombre, se\u00f1ora\", a valid excerpt might be:
    \n\u2013Hombre, pues yo no le vi<\/em>.
    \n\u2013Es que estaba en la galer\u00eda baja con una<\/em> se\u00f1ora.<\/li>\n
  3. Partial match<\/em>. Not all the words entered in the search need to appear in the transcription. The system retrieves excerpts containing any of them.
    \nExample: If the word \"se\u00f1or\" is searched, results might include:
    \n\u2013\u00a1\u00a1Se\u00f1or maestro!!
    \n\u2013No tengo, se\u00f1or.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In the Advanced Filters<\/strong><\/a> section, users can select different criteria to refine the search, such as the publication medium (name, place of publication, type of distribution, section, year), humor genre, theme, among others.
